The Vermilion Yacht Club clubhouse provides a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. It consist of 3 areas indoors, a outdoor patio area and a live-in managers quarters. The "Main" area consist of tables, chairs and sofas. Here you can socialize, eat a meal or just relax and watch the boats go by on the river. The "Captains" area provides a game table, an area to watch your favorite television events, and a window view of the river were you can sit and plan your next port in quiet comfort. The "Ship Store" area provides clothing and other miscellaneous items. It is also the entrance to the office. The outdoor provides numerous seating areas, grills, and tables to use and socialize at.
As a guest, or a member of a guest, we ask that you review and abide by our rules listed below.
"The Visiting Yachtsman Rules and Privileges"
No liquor shall be sold or served on the property. Members and guests choosing to consume alcohol are encouraged to follow club tradition and not display original containers.
Pets are welcome on the club grounds, but not in the clubhouse. Local ordinances require that they be kept on a leashed and attended at all times or confined to the owner's vessel. Please clean up after your pet and dispose of properly.
The clubhouse gallery and laundry is for the use of members only. The clubhouse may be locked at 8:00 PM during the week and 10:00 PM on weekends. Except for use of the restrooms, the Clubhouse is not to be used after these hours.
Grills or open flames on your boat or dock are not permitted. Propane grills are provided for members and visitors use. Please clean the grill after use and DO NOT FORGET TO TURN THE GAS OFF.
Use of the Vermilion Lagoons Beach Club is extended as a courtesy to registered visiting yachtsman of VYC. Additional unregistered guest are not allowed. Please sign in and OBSERVE POSTED RULES when visiting there.
Parking on club property is reserved for VYC members. Due to limited space, visiting yachtsman and their guest are not permitted to use club parking, except with permission of the Club Manager.
Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Excessive noise that could disturb Club members or Lagoon residents is not permitted.
One electrical outlet is available per dock.
No refuse or waste matter shall be thrown, pumped or discharged over board. Appropriate trash receptacles and a pump out station are available.
The Club is not responsible for loss or damage to articles left on boats or premises, or to other boats and structures.
FOR YOUR SAFETY...................
Maximum speed for any vessel operated on the river or in the Lagoons shall not exceed 5 miles per hour. No wake at any time.
Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when on docks and wear a Coast Guard approved PDF.
Swimming and fishing in the River and Lagoons is prohibited.
Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller skates and roller blades may not be stored or operated on Club docks or walkways.
No fireworks or firearms are to be fired from any boat or club property.
